- V-max is built for rough off-road trips and adventures.
- Powerful engine that offers good pickup, it handles highways easily and stays strong on long rides.
- With its high ground clearance, the V-Max can easily cross bumps, rocks, and water.
- This has a very spacious 7-seater layout with an impressive headroom and legroom in the first two rows.
- It has a multi-link rear suspension (as opposed to the V-Cross), which offers a far more comfortable and stable ride on the highway.
- It has a clearance of 230mm, which is among the highest in its category, and it can easily overcome deep water or broken roads.
- The 2 nd and 3 rd -row seats fold down to form an enormous 878-liter boot area on long journeys.
- Has the same 1.9L diesel bulletproof engine and 6-speed gearbox that has a low cost of maintenance.
- The elevated driving position provides the driver with a good panoramic view of the road ahead.
- Often cheaper than the Toyota Fortuner but with the same size and 4x4 equipment.

- The hydraulic steering is more demanding at low speeds, which may be exhausting on the city commute.
- Fails to retain its value as compared to its competitors in the Toyota or Mahindra and this increases depreciation.
- The MU-X is only available with the 1.9L engine as opposed to competitors which have petrol engines or bigger 2.8L diesel engines.
